Person-Centered Care

Person-centered care emphasizes the patient’s comprehensive history, strengths, values, beliefs, and preferences. It goes beyond mere decision-making regarding diagnosis and treatment to actively assist patients in living the life they aspire to.

Let’s dive into who you are, who you aspire to be, and how we can guide you on that journey. While we can’t alter everything in life, there will be aspects we need to accept for now. However, there’s always a path forward that aligns with our core values.

About

My name is Wellington Georgiou, and I am board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and am currently licensed in California. My practice encompasses a diverse range of psychiatric conditions, including depression disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma, insomnia, and others.

Despite my limited experience as a PMHNP (under two years), my ten year background as a registered nurse in the Trauma/Burn/Surgical ICU, Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit, and Primary Care has provided me with a unique perspective on holistic patient care. I have had the privilege of working with patients and their families during challenging times and have witnessed their progress and growth. As a nurse, you have the privilege of assisting numerous patients from diverse backgrounds to navigate challenging periods in their lives.

My primary objective is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their authentic selves. I believe that establishing a collaborative partnership is the foundation for understanding your goals and developing a tailored plan to achieve them. I am committed to engaging in open dialogue, addressing challenging ideas or thoughts that may hinder your progress, and fostering a collaborative relationship.
